Let It Out!What bugs you re this hobby?
Oh I completely understand what you mean kitten, but in the past whenever receiving offers I at least listen but seldom do I accept. On average for every 10 only one will be acceptable. Anyone else?
Oooo I hear ya on that. I used to get "offers" like that all the time. (And I know Ms. Poe has too. She and I would share those stories lol).
"I'll give you $10.00 for that $500.00 cel!" >_> Yea.... those people I just tend to say no thank you, or, if they bug me, I say "Are you serious? Well I am... the answer is hell no". (Keep in mind the offender would have to be SUPER rotten for me to respond like that. Only had to once so far).
Now-a-days I don't get them near as much.
As for what bugs me... hmmm... I would have to say the biggest bug for me is receiving a cel from someone (be it from YJ, personal collector, whatever), and have the cel be dirty. One of my most favorite pieces of art came to me COVERED in dust and animal dander (assuming its animal dander because the person had a lot of animals at home). Its really disheartening to pay for something and have it arrive looking like crap. :\
Ooooh I complete can understand Mirai Peorth! If you can explain more about some of those interesting generous people I'd love to hear more.
As for the hair or animal stuff all I can say is EWWW! Gross. I've received cels that were dirty and with one long hair and I nearly fainted from disgust. I can only imagine how icky it would be to receive a cel covered with other substances. Gosh I think I need to rinse with Listerine now.
I think so far the only complaint for me is slow shipping. I am a patient person but when I have to wait two months or more for a cel I paid for, it gets into the worry stage. I hate the feeling. If people would communicate it would be different but sadly it seems the ones who ship late do not like to reply either. Just frustrating...
[quote]Thanks for listening. Has anyone else experienced these generous types of "offers" and "offerors"? Please chime in. Thanks!

I dunno - I've seen a few people who make really lowball offers or bad trades for something they know is worth more...but I have found for each one of these, there are probably 2-3 sellers who have an artificially inflated idea of how much their cels are worth. Just because you paid $500 for a cel in 2001 does not mean its still worth that...
In any event, if it bothers you just go "black hole". I like that term...it amuses me. Ever since I stopped updating my site last year the amount of cel offers has dropped precipitously. Rather refreshing.
