who's outbidding you?

wow... you have such an awesome gallery of akira cels... i should log people too. o_o haha

It's always a US deputy service that will bid on the Sailormoon cels that I bid on....and, that's fine with me.

You know, I could get mad at all the competition and the insane prices that some of these Sailormoon cels have been ending for lately, but, what would be the point of that? I collect because I enjoy collecting. The minute I can no longer get any joy from not only looking at my collection but that of others will be the minute that I stop collecting. Judging from the prices of Sailormoon cels recently, there are a lot of people there that enjoy the same thing I do...and that makes me happy.

Very rarely will I have a Japanese bidder go after an item that I'm interested in, but that might be because I'm willing to shell out a lot of cash for pieces that "speak" to me. The only time I ever have a problem with Japanese bidders tends to be whenever I go for a nude henshin shot. These seem to be really popular for some reason.

thanks Iwakuralain16! i think i must have bought nearly all of the Akira artwork thats popped up on ebay in the last year. lol
dont ask me where i got the money! its insane. it all started last summer with me thinking
"oh, it'd be nice to have ONE good cel from Akira framed on my wall". next thing you know i'm going into a frenzy whenever one surfaces on ebay.
although, i have yet to spend more then $80 on one.
i think at this point when some of the regular bidders see my name pop up they dont bother bidding *heh*
and yes you cant get mad when you're outbid...especially if you've chosen a series/film thats popular. just pray its going to someone with a rubberslug account!

This may be because I am the only bidder on most lots I win. Hrmm. The joys of no competition! ;)

that must be nice! i always get at least one or two trying to outbid me. most of them usually give up aound the $70-$80 mark thankfully. although, not for cels of Tetsuo in his red cape. which is quite annoying as i still dont have a decent one.
theres one on ebay right now actually.
its just calling at me to try and outbid that persons proxy..
