Rubberslug Forum Users/Readers --report

Idea on feature galleries:

Personally, I love the feature galleries. I think it's really neat to see the cels people choose to represent their entire collections. However, if this is such a pain (and god knows I know how much time and frustration can go into image manipulation O.o;; ) there is no reason that those requests couldn't be farmed out to someone else to make and then sent back to Jason so he could upload them. I'm sure a system could be worked out to make all the information easy to upload too.

Ideally, this is something I would love to do to help out rubberslug, but I'm sure there are others who feel the same way and would probably do a better job.

Just an idea.

As for my lack of posting, I have foot-in-mouth syndrome. If I'm going to embarrass myself by saying something, I'd rather only one person hear/see it. ^_^;;

It's not so much making the features as in having a weird sense of obligation to take more than a token interest in what people collect. It may not seem like it, but I do visit galleries of most people who submit things. I watched Princess Nine the other day simply because I was getting a lot of feature galleries from it and didn't really know what it was past being a show about a girl's baseball team.

As annoying the details are, I do like the way it encourages people to a) visit galleries they might not normally have noticed and b) introduce themselves so I know what types of people are using this site.

Just want to make sure that I clarify that I don't hate the concept or the submissions, just the tedious details of it. The subset of things that a) I'm capable of, b) I like the concept, c) You (collectivly) like the concept), and d) aren't boring/annoying to maintain is very slim. Most of the time I'll settle for 2 or 3 out of 4.

Just kidding; I just don't have much spare time right now and not much to talk about in a cel-related forum, so there... Otherwise, I appreciate this forum for being less crowded with flame-loving kiddies like a certain other forum and I like joining in to threads, but I prefer showing off animal knowledge at the German pet forum ;)

As for ideas of promoting this forum or adding features, I dunno! I think this forum is just right. Maybe Jason should post more on other anime/cel forums using the forum link in the link field when posting?
I certainly don't think it's a good idea to suck people in by making more and more features. This forum is easy to use and pure discussion, unlike ezBoard, which has become a website host for ppl to post whatever, images, sound, etc. I think this forum should remain as it is.
