Rubberslug Forum Users/Readers --report
It is pretty hard to get people involved in a forum. This'll be my first post here.
I have only tended to check this forum from time to time. I'm not sure what kind of drawcard would encourage higher participation.
Perhaps a "weekly series focus"?
Gah! I post and I've already double clicked on the "post icon" Ooops!

I did not even know about this forum until recently, but now that I?ve discovered it I?ll be sure to visit more often. I?m a visitor of the two other mentioned forums (fora? forae? ^_^) as well but not actively posting on either anymore. I guess I agree with Echo; most of the time I do not know what to post either, so I just don?t and since I?m not interested in participating in polls in which people are asking if they should update or not, or flame wars just to insult people, I usually leave without posting anything.
I do like the Show Me threads though! ^_^
And the Anime-Beta Cel Awards were fun too!
Another reason why I do not post that often is that, originating from The Netherlands, English isn?t my primary language and I?m afraid I screw up my posts, people might misinterpret what I?m saying and end up thoroughly disliking me?or something O_o
*thinks*
Maybe I too should sign up with that support group for forum cowards Kitt was talking about ^_^

Uende, please don't worry about your english language skills! You express yourself clearly and precisely in english. I can't imagine that you would have problems being misunderstood in your posts! ^_^
I believe that flame wars will be either non-existent or quickly quashed if they should ever start on Rubberslug. Jason, E, Flippy and the rest of the mods seem as if they would have no tolerance for useless flame wars.
As for posts that might help draw participation, I've got something of an idea, but it might be too goofy and then I'd get all embarassed and go back into hiding again!
I second Arrex's suggestion about a weekly series focus. I think that might help to draw people more quickly than anything else. While I might not participate one week if the discussion is about an anime I've never seen, I'd be sure to check it the next week and see if it is centered on an anime I'm familiar with. And, reading the posts about an unfamiliar anime might help me decided what series to watch next.
Thank you Kitt, I really appreciate that ^_^
