Do you go for quality or quantity?
Mmmm...Well, I have bought "sweet pieces" ones that are VERY detailed and gorgeous, and some that are as low as $15. They are not cheap because of they "quality" but because the show is LESS known.
And since some people argue on the definition of quality..I will relay on one of it's definitions:
"Degree of excellence"
So a piece that is excellent, my take would be "little or no line fading and a closer shot" (not a piece of paint on a cel)
If the show is easy to find, than I will seek for a cel that is of a better sequence. If it's rare, than any scene (that looks decent) will do....
To me Quality does not have to do with the $ tag, but on the cel itself....
Klet, you seriously need to chill, otherwise you will burn out of this hobby soon. No one is telling what to like or dislike. Seriously why do you even care if the majority "share" your opinion? I certainly do not, I collect for only one person myself I do not care if 100% of the world's cel collectors share my beliefs regarding cels and doing so makes things so much easier. I am just trying to help you understand it does not matter if people share your opinion, there is no right answer. And even if there was, if it does not resonnate within you then why do you even care?
You know . . . the only thing that I really am getting a little fed up with is the fact that you don't appear to be reading my posts, or else you would see that I don't really care if others share my opinion. That was my point to begin with. You're obviously not familiar with my posting style, because otherwise I think you would see that I am not using the word "hate" in an angry or even completely serious way in my first post. Mildly irritated at the "richer than you and thus have higher quality cels" collectors that have been snooty in topics like this in the past, but not really angry. Honestly, I'm a very easy going person. If I cared whether the majority of collectors shared my opinion on quality (or anything, for that matter) I would have left the community years ago. Please don't make this personal. Though even now, I'm not really angry.

EDIT: Sorry about the off-topicness, everyone. Carry on. ^_^

I am definitely a mixture of both: I buy the [physically] highest quality cels that I can afford, while trying to accumulate as many of them as I wish! *grins* Many collectors start out young/poor, so buying larger amounts of less-expensive cels is a popular jumping off point. We all buy our cels because we love them, no matter how tiny or insignificant. :)
very true! :)
thanks Miss Z!
