Do you go for quality or quantity?
I favor "quality" of course, but for some shows there is only mediocre artwork from them available. In those situations I'm forced to acquire by "quantity" instead "quality". I don't like collecting that way, but sometimes I have little choice. Sometimes it's much better having something from a show than nothing at all. In the future I hope to run across something of "quality" from it, but sometimes I never do. If I really love the show I'm more likely to get "mediocre" artwork from it, but it also depends on how long I've been trying to get something from it. Sometimes "Love of the Anime/Anime Characters" trumps "Crappy Quality". ^_^

Definitely quality ^_^ But for RK cels it is soooooooooooooooo expensive even for not-so-quality cels :(
I ganna get summer bonus so I hope I can buy more quailty cels :)
Many who see my gallery would argue that I pursue neither.

I go for quality. I learned real fast how much more satisfaciton I get from my wishlist cels than the others. I found out the hard way by buying a bunch of Inuyasha cels when I first started to collect. When I found my first Inuyasha wishlist cel I sold them all to pay for it. I really try to go as long as I can wihtout buying a cel because I know that my wishlist cels will always come along someday. I've had a lot of luck so far - a lot of my wishlist cels are even the exact scenes I have screen-capped on my gallery wishlist. Really, nothing feels worse than having to pass up on a wishlist cel or close-to wishlist cel because you blew your money on a bunch of low-grade cels. But some shows I love so much, I will try to buy any cel I can get if they are decent: Sonic SatAM, Unico in the Island of Magic, Chipmunk Adventure. But these are also rare and its hard to pass up a cel from a series or show that you don't see to often.

I hate this question. I hated it when I saw it asked on beta a while back. It kind of suggests that anything bought in a large quantity for cheap prices is not quality. Well, I beg to differ. I've gotten plenty of beautiful set-ups from some of my favorite shows. Prices on these set-ups depend on the show, and have ranged from $15-$190. So, naturally, I have lots of quality pieces from the cheaper shows. I'm able to get them for so cheap because no one else wants to buy them.
Another thing I hate about this question is that it seeks to define "quality," while I think that the definition of quality really depends on the collector in question. E.G. I have always hated the designs for DB characters. I see people spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on what I consider to be ugly men. DB cels do not fit my definition of quality. *feels the heated, murderous gaze of the majority of RS and beta collectors* But, the majority of collectors (especially those who started beta six years ago) would heatedly disagree with that aspect of my definition of quality.
Finally, the last thing I hate about this question is that no one is going to pick "quantity." Seriously, who's going to say, "I love buying cheap, crappy cels so that I will have the most cels on beta! They're so ugly even I hate to look at them!!!" Everyone thinks what they are buying is quality, or they wouldn't buy it.
Sorry for the long post. I know RS has been having issues with coding in the forums lately . . .
