The Sales Policy Poll
[adminpoll]101[/adminpoll]
I expect this poll to be the most ballot-stuffed poll of all time, but I'd like to know how everyone feels about this in an open forum setting.
More specifically:
a) is it reasonable to expect no sales, offers, etc. across all personal spaces?
b) if not, then what rules do you suggest that are both easily enforced and fair?
Thanks for your input and support. We'll be watching and commenting.
IMO it am for restricted use of RS for sales and offers. Specifically, I am for sales within the RS shop but only if people contribute/support the site. In addition to this, I am ok with contributing RSers creating a centralized link of items w/in their own gallery that they have available in the shop. IMO doing so highlights and draws attention to what they specifically are offering within their respective RS gallery. This is vastly different than people using RS just for selling, linking for JAMCL, and/or offers. I am somewhat wary of people using RS primarily for selling and/or taking offers, but I do understand the occasional need. One concern I have is how this practice will eventually move RS into a pay for use service much like with Craigslist. I hope someone finds my comments somewhat helpful.

Hello Jason and all Rubbersluggers,
Jason I have a idea that should be done as soon as it can be done,I know your time is limited on programing and all.
As one who has no sales of any kind on this site and only use this site as a showcase for my personal cels,I understand some do and thats OK in the right places here as stated.
I think a header needs to be added to the top of the blog space on the front page so those that have not been here in awhile or have not gone to the forum pages know of the new rules.
something like,
" No sales or offers in the blogs or personal galleries or your site will be turned off until you contact a Mod,THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE"
Also add a small link to the forum post about it under the new header.
This way noone can say they did not know and it would clear up any questions about sales or offers.
This small header should save you guys from all or at least some the banning that has been going on here in the past few weeks,I've seen some very nice sites closed and this is a shame.
You and the Mods here are doing a very good job and I know sometimes you need to put your foot down and are very fair to all,But I know if some of these folks saw the header would not post sales or offers in the blogs as they would not wish to have there sites closed down.
I know in the future this site will have better sales pages we all just need to hold on for now and use the things already here for us to use!
I do think having a "for trade" page should be ok in the personal galleries as this is what collecting cels is all about, but this should be limited to one page per gallery as you should not need any more than one to post trade goods.
I hope everyone understands this and those that do not?Well you have wrote your own exit blog or post!
Mahoro, Good idea a RS sales shop link at the top of each sponsors gallery home page would be a nice bonus for being a sponsor and would help bring in some more cash to help with the extra memory needed for sales here.
Roy
P.S. As a side note I think a all in one email should be sent out with the rules spelled out clear and fair to all.

I'm actually glad to see the blogs getting cracked down on. I hope I wasn't the only one tired of always seeing someone selling something on the front page. It's messy. Although, I can hear the screams now of people not caring what I blog about. LOL That's okay. ~_^ I use my blog as a writing excerise and to help inform my friends all over the world of what's going on with me in the anime world. And sometimes I even write about my "real" life. ^.^
I think it's quite fair the rules RS has in place. Only sponsors being allowed to sell might get you even more sponsors. ~_^
Just one question before I go. I've asked this before but with all the changes lately I thought it best to ask again before I find my gallery suspended. When I have ebay auctions, I type **on ebay** in the description of the cel. So in other words, you're trolling my gallery and click on a title you like. You see a whole bunch of thumbnail images and one catches your eye. You click the thumbnail and here is where those words appear. No link - just words. Is that still okay?
put cels you have for trade or offer in a section on your gallery its not that hard and people would see the update and know its not that hard to do i dont see why a blog on top of that is neccery gradius for good has a ection like that i saw it looked ar it saw there were no cels i could even consider making a offer on and went about my daymake a section and isnt sales page links what the link section is for and the for sale section of the fourm
