Sailor Moon Flamers

Over the last week there seems to have been a rash of Sailor Moon themed gallerys recieving bad ratings & flame emails.
This has gotten so bad several gallerys have considered closing or allowing access via password only.

It is a shame that there are those who are so jealous and inmature that they can spoil what is a fun hobby for the rest of us.

If they can not behave themselves I feel they should be outed publicly and if they continue be asked to go elsewhere for there should no room for such conduct on Rubberslug.

Thanks Joe. I agree wholeheartedly that this ordeal has gotten out of hand. I have 2 of the few e-mail address saved so if it comes to a point where we have to expose these "collectors" I will do it. Unfortunately I don't have the others since I deleted the e-mail and didn't think much of it at the time.

Honestly what has been a fun and great hobby has become stressful and frustrating. This is why I thought about leaving for a bit until it clears up. But possibly exposing these people might finally get this done and overwith, or could cause exactly what they want: attention.

Well I happen to agree as well. People shouldnt be put down for the items that they like..

People have different taste to everything. If they like to collect goofy cels, Crying cels, Pan cels. Its all up to them. Not noone else. So I think these people who go around emailing others should be outed already. I know of at least 2 or 3 people that are thinking about locking down or closing there galleries due to this problem. I happen to like the cels in the gallerys. It shows what the people who collect like.

So I think that if anyone has the names of these people..Post it. Make them look bad for the way that they have been making you feel. I did recieve some emails myself saying my gallery wasnt very good. I did delete the emails..so if it happens agian..this will be the place I put their names

I'm really curious, what kinds of things are they saying? I've never gotten such an email.
Are they just stating their opinion, like "your gallery is poorly designed and I don't like the cels you collect" Or, is it even more malicious then that?
I'd like to know what is so bad that it makes the collector want to close their gallery, and effectively give in to the comments?
I wouldn't mind seeing quotes from the emails if possible.
If what they are doing is truly harassment then something should be done about it.

Hey, my favorite galleries are the ones where the owner likes things that I can't possibly begin to understand. (Jura... what? I had to Google that because I was feeling left out of the conversation.)

Sailor Moon and all the other traditionally popular shows make sense on a certain level to me. I've actually borrowed one of the movies to get a good perspective on other people's tastes from a friend but I've yet to watch it.

In contrast, the Spice Girls, slap bracelets, and licorice jellybeans never, ever, made any sense. Harassing someone even in one of these extreme circumstances of misguided appreciation is still not cool.

How about a feature where only registered members can send comments? That would almost defeat the purpose of meeting new people through cel collecting, but I understand some people just don't want to stress of random internet wackos breathing heavily into their e-mail box.
