Genga/Douga or Cels? Which do you prefer

for me,
cels first, you have the colors, and its what you see on the sceen. after that it would have to be rough sketches. I love the fluidic emotion that goes in to some of them. (another plus with the sketches you don't have the line trace fade probs)

No real preference, although I gravitate more towards actual cels. Unless the sketches are characters sketches or something I find I simply must have. But I don't speak from experience yet ;)

Gengas over cels. Gengas really are beautiful. That is not to say cels are not, but with cels that is the finished product. Gengas are typically rough and done by the character designer and they tend to be truer to the original intentions of the creator. This is especially true in animes from the 80s and 90s.

I like having the matching sketch for the cel. The best of both worlds I guess.
