The Official Ban Request Thread

There is a big difference between someone who is new to cel collecting and someone who just wants an image gallery.

I am talking about people that don't care about cel collecting, or who don't care to start a real collection due to the time and money involved.

Sure, I want to give honest to goodness CEL COLLECTING newbies every chance possible, because they are actually into cels! Huzzah, let's educate them, yes!

But most of the banned galleries I've come across are either 100% images (no cels, not even stolen cel images) or pictures of real people (obviously no relation to cel art here). They don't mention a desire to get cels, they just want a place to host DB:AF pics or pictures of them striking poses.

The addition of a TERMS OF USE page wouldn't stop newbies from making their galleries. If anything, it would start them down the "cel education" road... and maybe point them here, where members would be able to help them if they had questions.

Also, a TERMS OF USE page would keep people who aren't interested in collecting cels away from this site, which saves time, money and hassle for the owner/mods.

I honestly feel this subject has been beaten to death. We have given Jason and the mod's enough imput on both sides for them to discuss. When they come up with a set policy they will let us know.

Sorry, I haven't been paying much attention to this thread until last night when Rheytarian told me to go look at it. I just thought a lot of people needed to get banned lately or something.

Let's start with moving this conversation out of the ban request thread. We can brainstorm a way to evolve our policy and keep this for reporting errant galleries.

this guy seems to think "cel" means "drawing that took me 40 minutes".

On 2/11 I sent feedback to this gallery informing that their drawing was not a cel and suggested they close the gallery till they are in compliance. They seem to have taken my advice for it is currently not able to be accessed.
