Transformer Cel Warning
van eaton gallery might do it
Problem is that dealers don't want to offend clients saying their cels are not authentic.
I've taken cels to SR Labs to get Ron Stark's opinion on authenticity. Then again, I don't know if there's anyone really that's an absolute expert on this type of art, especially when the question is if it was really used under camera. Experts might be able to tell you if the cel was created by a professional animator but not when it was created or why. There have been fake model cels on eBay created specifically to sell on eBay. They were done by a pro animator. That's why you have to look for evidence of age, signs the cel was created 25+ years ago, but that's hard to see with a small photo on eBay.

It is not easy for me to ignore these cements either.
It's disappointing how people jump to conclusions. It is a battle lost in start, I feel very annoyed when some people shoot to zero without any cognition of cause !! There is no sense arguing with these people on the forum, no matter what you say...it will never be good enough because I'm stating in my listing the cel is an "authentic production cel" but yet it cant be matched to the production footage so that's misleading. That's why a lot of collectors don't share their art ... because they don't want to listen to all this kind of static.
Fun hah

While I can understand your frustration as to possibly having purchased a counterfeit, I don't understand why your responses have so much venom in them. Maybe something is lost in translation, but I think everyone is trying to help you by alerting you to the fact that you may have been swindled.
Personally, I'd want to know if something I have is fake, and hope someone would be kind enough to take some time out of their schedule to provide me with solid reasons as to why what I own might not be authentic production material.
As a responsible collector and as the seller of the cel, you should notify any potential buyers of the possibility that it might not have been used during production.
