Collecting cels - relationship builder?

That's another great story JWR, thanks for sharing. I am always glad to hear significant others are supportive of each others hobbies even if they do not share the same passion for it.

Oh and Peril in Pink, have you tried showing him some old school animes that might interest him? Most guys seem to like Gundam 0083, Bubblegum Crisis, Gunbuster, Berserk, Laputa, or Mononoke Hime. Give it a shot and see if that entices him and then you can discuss how cels were involved in the creation. ^_^ Good luck!

Its been a long while since I've come around RS but I had to chime in for this thread considering thats how I met my cel senpai-now-fiancee ^_^
(most of my good friends on beta and rs already know the mushiness I'm gonna coo bout ^,^)

Rayd has been a cel collector since '98-ish? I only started around 2002 but we would casually bump into each other on animanga forum and even stepped on each others toes on ebay over lain cels lol! XD
Then he joined anime-beta and after exchanging a couple of pm's about our cels and life in general we became good friends and started calling and emailing each other any and every chance we got.After a while, he flew down to meet me and from there it just unfolded into a really kawaii almost-mangaish love story. _-_

Now we're living together and set to marry in May ^_^V
