Your first cel-
birdie
Aug 31 at 10:28 PM
My first cel was a the sericel from Batman TAS. The one that has the Villain line-up. It was a gift and is still one of my favorites. My first "real" production cel and journey into this bank breaking habit was from Neon Genesis Evangelion. A great cell of Eva Unit 01 which I still have and it is posted in my gallery.
What was it? How did it come to be in your possession? Do you still have it?
It was a big water-headed close up of super-sayajin chibi trunks.
I bought it from the great but now long ago defunct Anime Taro online site.
I sold it eons ago, after I went through my Dragonball Z purge of cels, like a lot of us "old-timers" did.
It was a "golden-era" of cel collecting.
My very first cel was this one of Kenshin:

It was a gift from my husband on our anniversary a couple of years ago.
Then, about a month later, I ran across this Mikagami cel on ebay:

I didn't know anything about Flame of Recca, but I fell in love with Mi-chan instantly ... and the price was right. (Read = "cheap" :P) So, this was the first cel I actually purchased on my own.
I didn't start actively collecting cels for another couple of years or so. But, since I've jumped into this nutty hobby with both feet, I've never been happier --- or more broke! =_=
