Your first cel-
My first offical cel was probably one of the last things you'd think a raving Dilandau maniac would have in his posession. It was an original Pink Panther given to me when I was around 12. I don't have a scan because its framed but its a classic shot of the great pink cat tailing Inspector Cluseau as they trod through wet cement. Beside them is that funny little guy jumping up and down furious because they ruined his construction work. It's also signed by Friz Freleng. I should put it on my site one day.
'Injured Civillians' from AKIRA, that was the first anime cel I acquired.

I still have it and wouldn't want to get rid of it because of the memories it holds. It's quite a poor image so no-one would want it anyway ^__^
It was a freebie too- a local video store chain had an offer (in '94) whereby you were given a free Akira cel for every 'Manga' tape you bought. Heh, I cleared out my savings when I was a teenager to buy as many tapes as I could; when I think back I wish I had more money since most of these cels would fetch high prices now. Still, I managed to get a dozen cels so it was a good start to the new collection.
That (and the internet) began the downward spiral into cel debt. It's like class A drugs- a dealer might tempt you with a free sample, then you begin spending money on on them because you feel that you NEED them and the obsession escalates. You know where I'm coming from ;) *heh heh*
Well, I bought a bunch during a sale, so I don't really have one "first." It was a Hime-chan no Ribbon, Daa! Daa! Daa!, and Tenshi ni Narumon cel combo.
My first cel was an IY cel that I bought from Aloha Anime last year. Yes, I still have it, and because it was my first, I'll never get rid of it!
My first cel, an OVA MKR Lantis, is amazingly still in my collection, however, I only acquired my first cel in my twenties. While looking through items at a favorite comic book haunt, I found a pack of Rayearth playing cards. I really liked the artwork on them, and proceeded to look up information about the characters on the internet which eventually lead me to cel dealer sites. Even though I knew nothing about the series at that point, the Lantis cel really stood out from the rest. I originally bought the cel out of curiosity. Since then, Lantis has become the foundation for my entire Rayearth collection and the instigator for my current cel collecting afflictions.
