Do wishlists work?

I've wondered about this....
Has anyone been approached by another collector or dealer who has read their wishlist and offered them a WL cel?

Most people, especially retailers, don't have the time or memory to recall everyone's wishlist items. The only time you might get lucky is if a fellow RS member (who owns a WL cel of yours) is browsing your gallery and they decide to offer it to you. Those circumstances are rare but it doens't hurt to have a wishlist.
In fact I belive this has been discussed in another thread or on another cel forum and some people like using their wishlist to keep track of what they are expressly looking for. If you collect from several series this can be very helpful.

I've been lucky that a few friends have been keeping an eye out for me with regard to my WL items; I really appreciate that (Thanks Startyde, Hakiri and Fetish among others!)

I always check the wishlists of the gallerys I view.

So far I have only found 1 "wishlist" cel that was in the "Will give a kidney" level.

I now proudly have said Kidney set in lucite on my mantelpiece while a certain person is doing the happy dance in the Marshall Islands with a certain Ranma cel that once graced my gallery.

You know what I find so amazing about peoples wish lists? Some people are actually looking for a particular scene/cel from their favorite anime. Usually I consider myself very lucky if I can find any cel at all from my favorites, let alone specify a particular scene.
