What's the most $$ you spent on a cel?

Sounds like some of you definitely have some serious buyers remorse. Whatever the price you paid or for whatever piece of art, if you cannot afford it, consider selling it instead of berating yourself. IMO when you have regrets or even moments when you question the sanity of spending on a purchase as much as you did, chances are (as I've learned long ago) you probably shouldn't have bought it. Just my ten cents.

yeah. there have been some seriously amazing set ups ive wanted close to that price range, but theres no way i could personally warrent spending THAT much.well, i'm a broke student, so its not like i have any choice! heh

I admit it, I've just bought the most expensive cel in my collectin. $155 (including shipping) for a WICKED cel of Joe from the Gatchaman OVA. It's the close up of him that was up on Anime-link. I looked at that one for AGES!! More than a year, I think, even before I started cel collecting, and I finally broke down and bought it.

I don't like to go anywhere near the $100 mark as a rule, but sometimes you really have to make an exception.

I can not wait to see my new baby.....! LOL!

When I was hot and heavy into the cel market, I remember my most expensive cel was $600. Though it's not with me anymore, and I've focused more on other personal pursuits right now, I still thought it was worth very penny because of the rarity of the character.
