What's in a name?

My name is Aurora. People used to ask me if I was named after the car, to which I always replied, "No, the car was named after me!" LOL But actually, I was born way before the car came out.
I knew a girl named Delorian in highschool, I thought it was awesome.

That is strange...I've named several pets after animated characters, but I think I'll avoid doing it to my children in the future. It does have the potential to set those poor kids up for a fall, even before they manage to stand. My question is where are these people (the "tax authorities mentioned) when parents are naming their children other cruel and unusual names. Anita Pea's the one that jumps to mind, now tell me that poor kid wasn't set up to fall. Or is it that they can only keep parents from using cruel first names...not cruel combination names..

Richard Cox. 'nuff said. Actually, when I was younger I had parakeets named Billy (The Keet), Locksley, and Bonnie + Clyde. My mother asked me if I intended to name all my birds after outlaws....

I have to admit my oldest is named after a fictional character Corran Horn. The spelling is unusual and I have to get it done custom on his stuff.

Myself I was named after a grandmother who was named for a figure Skater. Sonja is still not all that popular in America but in Europe I got to meet several others sharing my name.
