Rinkya flame...
Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to Rubberslug and have been cel collecting for little over a year now. I have recently started purchasing items from stores and sellers in Japan but always frequent YJ just to look at things. After seeing so many nice cels that I desperatly wanted to try to bid on I decided to read up on deputy services. Soon I decided to go with Rinkya since I had read many good things about it. A couple of weeks ago I opened an account in hopes of purchasing some of those lovely cels on YJ. However, I have had nothing but problems when trying to login, save auctions/searches, or bidding that I fumed and gave up. I just closed my account today.
Does anyone here recommend an easy to use deputy service, preferably one that doesn't have to bid for you, has reasonable fees, and is made for 'dummies'? If you want details about my Rinkya problems and think you may have a solution to them then I'll be glad to post. Thanks for reading!
Kitara,
I'm a longtime Rinkya user, and I'm more than willing to help you with your problems if you need? The Rinkya staff is very helpful with answering questions also, you might try asking them before giving up.
Of the several deputy services I know of, I've heard good things about animechaos and celga as well as rinkya.
Email me if you like for help with rinkya.

I think that Rinkya's user interface needs work. I have been using them as my proxy for about a year and a half and still have problems with using their website. It isn't too bad once you get used to it and have your "My Rinkya" set up. It is still annoying to have to log in every time you want to look at your account...
As Zag said, you might want to e-mail Heather & Laurel. The couple of times I have had problems they have responded quickly and worked hard to resolve my issues...
I have also been using Rinkya for several years with no problems.
I would be willing to help you if you could email me with the specifics.
Thanks for the advice everyone. I emailed Rinkya days ago and Laurel responded quickly. She thought that I may not be loging in to the account before saving searches/auction/bidding or maybe I had not even set up my account yet. I emailed her back stating I was login in (as far as I know, I have set up my account correctly) and I wasn't bidding on anything yet, just watching items and that I was going to try to read up more from the FAQ before placing bids.
Almost everytime, when being logged in, the system still wouldn't let me save auctions or searches. It would redirect me the page for logging in stating that I must have logged out, something about my cookie might be deleted, or the account is not set up on this machine. So I finally cracked and closed the account. :P
If you guys think you can resolve my problem then I'll try to get my account reopened or stop the closing.
