Slowing down...

For me, my collection is complete. I haven't wanted to buy anything cel related in well over a year, and it was 1.5 years 'away' from buying before that last purchase.

On the flip side, I still constantly login to forums like this one just to see what everyone else is up to collecting. I still adore looking at everyone else's lovely treasures, but the desire to have them as mine Mine MINE is long gone.

Seems there are more collectors than I thought who manage to keep active despite having slowed down or stopped collecting.
And, hey, that's primarily what this thread was about... keeping active despite a lesser apetite for acetate.
I still enjoy watching the updates, especially when animaxis puts up some new hankens, but I don't buy cels nearly as often as I once did.
(Ironically, a new cel just arrived last week and another one is on it's way from Japan. They'll be up soon.)
It's good to hear that my other half and I aren't alone and that there are still ways to remain active in the hobby without buying cels continuously.
And despite spending less time on cel collecting, I still have a pile of books that I bought and just never got around to reading. I'll just have to add the Da Vinci Code to the end of that list. :P

I agree with a lot of people who have replied. I have a problem with thinking constantly that I have finished collecting, but then I see that one cel that managed to catch my eye and I buy it. I promise myself that that is going to be the last of the buying spree, but my curioaity leads me back to cel sales and I buy again. I find it ever so hard to have the willpower to stop myself... :'(
