Coincidentally, I'm reading a book right now (reading? me? holy crap!) called, "The Design of Everyday Things". Always meant to read this and found it by chance in a used book store. It's about how people who make stuff and people who use the stuff that gets made have totally different mental models about how the object in question *should* work.

He makes a point several times in there that the end-user typically blames him/herself when in reality it's the fault of the person who designed the object. To make a long story short, I think this falls in that catagory. Some more tinkering is certainly in order to make the shop operation more obvious....

true, it doeds need probably a bit more tinkering. overall for a test run, it's a great version.
