The Official Ban Request Thread

Hi,

I have seen several galleries with photoshop galleries where does this land as far as "banning go?" Also, I still see a lot of galleries with toys, is this now allowed? One last thing, are Pencil Boards allowed in the cel galleries? Thanks.

I think JWR or someone has answered this before, but it's all acceptable as long as the majority of the gallery is dedicated to cels. That includes fanart, photoshop junk and whatever else you could imagine.

While this thread is helpful for we can't see everything that goes on it is only to be used for blatant violations,If one is not sure , Don't post it here, instead contact a Mod.

All of the Mod's here do check the gallerys , Blogs & forum posts and act quite a bit behind the scenes to correct violations that are found and communicate and discuss problems and form plans of action out of sight of the membership.

It is counter productive to have members thinking that they are self appointed Mods that spend their time attempting to police things on their own cause they don't agree with the actions or preceived inactions. Jason has entrusted that job to those He has chosen to moderate this site.

First off, I find your post very insulting and degrading. Especially this part:

I do not go searching or policing for people that may or may not have "broken the rules" I come across these galleries when searching for cels. I am merely asking questions and trying to help out.

Second, The first time I asked that question YOU did not clearly answer it. Hence, why I asked again. Thanks to WC for giving me a straight response.

When I see response in the forums like what you wrote, especially for a Mod, it is no wonder so many people are leaving RS!

Well on your post of July 9th you listed over 20 different gallery links which you thought were in violation. That shows that you spend quite a bit of time and thought to find examples.

So long as these gallery's have a vast majority of actual production animation or other artwork , be it cels , sketches or lithographic plates. I am not about to ban them for they are in keeping in the orginal spirit of what we are about.
Now if as said a gallery only has such items then they will be closed."
