How long, is long enough?

Ore-sama, I recently purchased a cel from your gallery, and I knew it would take a while to get over here, but it eventually did. :) I try not to stress out about it much, because after it leaves the seller's hands, it's really up to the postal service or customs as to where it ends up and in what condition.

I had a terrible time mailing a very expensive cel to a buyer in Germany, simply because customs didn't like the way I packaged the cel. They refused it twice for improper content, yet they hadn't even opened the box to see what was inside.

I had to haggle with the postmaster over this, because I felt it was very unfair to me and my buyer. They also wanted me to pay a fee for having it (slowly) returned to me. I lost around $40.00 on the postage alone. It was a real nightmare, but thankfully, the buyer was very very patient.

Eventually everything worked out, and the cel is now in his collection. But sometimes even the best efforts cannot ensure that art will arrive in a timely fashion.

I'm not sure who you guys are talking about but I have a couple people in mind.

I had to wait about 3-4 months once on a cel from a notoriously bad shipper, I had heard about this problem in advance but it was still pretty frustrating. Another time I waited over 6 months..

I can understand *to a point* that sometimes life gets in the way, but when you sell an item and accept the payment you agree to fulfill your end of the bargain.

Because of these very bad situations, I have decided not to buy from these people again unless I absolutely have to.

It was the cel of Onizuka from the first episode (shirtless with the flashlight). It's a gift for a friend of mine, but I might host it in my gallery if he's alright with that.

I wanted to give it to him because he got me into GTO in the first place. ^^ I owe him one.
