The state of the Anime Cel collecting community.
U9, I'm not quite sure what sites you're visiting, but the majority of websites out there do get their chunk of change out of you, whether that be in the form of ad revenue, time you'll spend waiting due to slower uploads or until the episode is available for free accounts, etc. Someone has to pay to employ the people working on those sites. Would you want to use RS if it had the same features that these "free" apps provide?
Your post comes off as incredibly selfish. We all benefit when we share our knowledge and work together. I've seen, time and time again, that those who are willing to help their fellow collectors are those that receive the most rewarding experiences in return. Do you think the people who try hard to keep this community alive are doing it because they want praise? The people that are "going the extra mile" are doing so because they're not content with letting the community die. They appreciate and acknowledge their love for both what they collect and the experiences they've had by investing their resources back into the group. That, by its very definition, is what a community is.
In short, U9, if you're not willing to contribute towards the solution, you don't get to complain about the problem.
And how are you contributing to the solution Cutiebunny? Do you think insulting others and being arrogant is the way to keep the community alive?

"maybe RS needs to get sponsorship, include adds and banners? I wouldn't mind adverts if it enabled new features in the long run "
@Cutiebunny that was in my first comment, so yes I'm saying advertisement is a way to help and yes i'd still use RS as thats how again nearly all apps and sites stay free
How am I complaining about the problem? again I said
"For now i'm happy to keep watching forum topics and looking at new uploads...Whoever made the site and got it to where it is done a good job anyway based on the size of the community maybe what we have now is more than youd expect already?..."
If you're gonna tell people not to comment on public posts but then want more users to step forward and offer to help you're probably going about it the wrong way.
Wendy, my comments are only insulting if you have done nothing to help the community during your stay in his hobby.
I think you missed the jest of what I was saying, U9. What I'm saying is that, if you've sat on your duff and have failed to do anything for the community by aiding with awards and other activities, you really have no right to complain as you are part of the problem.
In the time both of you have spent arguing your opinion with me, you could have easily have made a few award graphics for the Cel Awards.
Just saying ^_~

If by missing the jest you mean answering your questions then sure...
"you could have easily have made a few award graphics for the Cel Awards."
But me and wendy wouldnt do that surely? We are just part of the problem remember? :)
