Cannot update or edit old cel images

No, my issue is not being able to upload new images. There are just too many that I added back in the day to be able to replicate all the cel info, not to mention save view counts and such. *sigh*

Maybe worth a try: I used Google Chrome just now and successfully replaced a thumbnail from my "core collection" that was uploaded in August 2002. I still was unable to change the main image, however.

*sigh* I hate to point this out, but if the problem is on the server end of things (most likely), no amount of browser swapping or trickery is going to fix it.

The best guess I can come up with is that something is wonky with the older image files because Jason had to move them from the actual RS server to Amazon's hosting services in the interest of disk space. I'd imagine that when you upload the new image, it's probably being uploaded somewhere, but it isn't replacing the existing image because, well, perhaps the existing image is either not being overwritten properly or whatever tells the site what image to load for that item in your gallery isn't being updated (database, perhaps?). Both of these possibilities are likely not to be browser-dependent, so no matter what you do or try, it's just plain broken. Solving this is likely going to involve Jason doing some investigating -- perhaps one of these days, he'll look into it.

This problem appears to have reared its head again. I've been trying to change an existing picture for about a week, but with no luck. I'm not having any problem with new uploads, just fixes to the old ones.

Well, this is a new problem that I've never come across before but I think it's still related to this known problem.

I just added a new cel and wanted to organize it chronologically between two older cels that I originally added back in 2005...but no matter how many times I tried to move it down in the list with either the Down 1 item, Down 5, or even the Bottom command... it refused to go below Item #145257. Everything beneath the newly added cel had a smaller number than this, meaning it was added before the #145257 cel.

Has anyone come across this problem before? Do you think it's related to the other server based problems we came across in earlier posts to this thread? I really hope there's a way to fix it (without having to delete 5+ cels and reupload them) but..... I kinda doubt it. :p
