Auto-scale image sizing broken
Weird. Now the colors seem to be re-appearing again despite not changing the HTML.
I guess I'll have to find some site that can provide me with a more up to date HTML guide for your site. I imagine that I won't be the only person with these issues once the switch to the new site is complete.
Thanks, Jason. The "giant blue box" issue in my gallery now is resolved. With the text on the bottom rather than on the side, the size of the images is fine, and the whole gallery looks good.
I did a big upload this weekend, and encountered no problems, save the old issue of having to log out and log back in to make thumbnails now and again.
I'm still working on it so if something mysteriously breaks, then don't panic! It should be restored soon.
I think I've decided that the "info on the side" layout has to be retired. When that page was written 10 years ago, 300 pixel wide images were considered about the right size. Now, even the 530 width images that are 70-120k are tiny. All items will use the info on the bottom layout moving forward. All items that used info on the side layout have automatically been converted. Let me know if this causes a problem for anyone and we'll see if anything can be done to resolve it. It's not changing back, but maybe there's a workaround for people who are adversely affected.
Keep in mind that this is literally rewriting/rewiring things that are a decade old. The internet only somewhat resembles what it did then.
As far as the new site goes, my current plan is to launch on Thursday. If something blows up last-minute, then definitely by the end of the weekend.
It's not going to be perfect as there's a few relatively small pieces that aren't perfect yet, but real life is calling. It's crazy that I've spent almost six months on this. (It was either work on it for real or officially mothball it and declare that no new work would ever be done on it.)
More things to come in the future. I'll be around for about a week of bug fixes (probably through thanksgiving) before moving onto other projects for a few weeks.

For those of you that, like myself, used HTML codes to prevent image theft, you will need to change it as it no longer works.
I found a link with a code that you can copy/paste into your description area that seems to work well.

Of course, there are ways to get around it. But, it's better than nothing.
