I think the most viewed by day/week/month/all-time would probably fix this. I'll try to move that ahead on the schedule.

i like the idea of streamlining the process to get your gallery on the Featured Gallery list. it gives the user more personalization. on a side thought, have you decided what sized graphics would be appropriate for user's banners and thumbnails?
