Poll: Top 10 Issues

I vote for B) Depeche Mode! It was a toss up with New Order though. ^_^

First off, FINISH THE POLL THING :) If it's close.. why not just finish and be done with it.

As a mod, I want more "mod-dy" things to do. I want to show the visitors that we have the power of good AND evil. (the evil being the power to ban galleries). Like "Things with Wings" gallery owner mentioned (in another tread ^^), there should be a way to spotlight galleries that *never* update, or update so rarely that they get forgotten. I know there is the "featured gallery" rotation, but that is a lot of luck and chance. I'm talkin' hand-picked galleries of recommendation. So my idea? My idea is to have a little page/section for "Mod (staff?) Recommends (Favorites?)". We (the mods.. and you :) )would be able to change it from time to time. Perhaps this could be added to the existing span of gallery listings: popular... diversity.. etc.

Whaddya say?

Now you can vote on the first ever Rubberslug poll for "best band ever". You asked for it. Ha.

I'll put something anime-ish in there eventually. I'm kinda partial to sillier polls though.

OMG that poll is hilarious. I have never heard of any of those bands =D

Never???

Um.... that's practically unfathomable, I'm not that old. In any case, those are all big Europop groups from the 1980s. If you were born anytime in the 70s or early 80s, chances are you know all the words to "Bizarre Love Triangle" yet you still have no idea what they mean.

Ooh, just remembered. Pet Shop Boys. I'll add that, and "I have no idea who you're talking about" as choices.

Go hit Kazaa or IRC, young padawan. You are missing out on the greatest, most flaming pop acts of the late 20th century.

*sings badly* "Every time I see you faaaaalling
I get down on my knees and pray..."

Don't be surprised Jason.... many happy new collectors/anime-fans are kids born between 87-90. I, on the other hand, have the albums of all the bands you mentioned in the poll (even several for depeche mode ^^;; ). I talked with a kid once.. he was probably 13, and he kept saying "Creed" this and "Limp Bizkit" that. I ask "Ever heard of David Bowie?". He looked at me like I asked him a trick question.

Remember how our parents listened to music that we would just walk by and cringe? We were SO embarassed that they kept listening to the same songs from the 60's & 70's. I know that I certainly couldn't take "Janis Joplin" or "ABBA" anymore. .... We're becoming our parents. Relatively stuck in a musical-generation. I'm fine with that tough. I will gladly listen to 80's Europop on my local "Oldies" radio station. ^_^

Now to jump back ON TOPIC. Whadya think of my idea for the mod-dy stuff?? eh? EH?

Oh, one more suggestion. Could you make an "auto-login" feature? Kinda like the option on forums and stuff. That would be nice :)
