When Should A Gallery Be Deleted?

My 2 cents......I personally think abandoned galleries that havent been updated or the user has not logged on in years should be deleted. While I understand that people may not always have stuff to add, I still feel that if they are using RS to host their images and site, the least they could do is put some effort into letting the owner or a mod know they want to keep the site up. If the person has not logged on in years, or has no images on the site, they give the impression that they have no interest in their gallery. Why waste the space and bandwidth? As well, yeah, there is glimmer of hope that the person may be around to sell you the cel, but I'd personally rather not see a cel I want than see it and find out there is no way of getting it. But that is just how I feel.......

I also concur on deleting the galleries that are completely empty. I see no reason for keeping them if there's nothing for visitors to see. However I'm still double sided on galleries that have things in it. There are some galleries that have some beautiful production art that I would love to own but haven't updated in years(by this I mean in over 4+ years) and I'd be saddened if they were gone. Also, sometimes it takes years to get that 1 wishlist item you've been dead set on buying.

I don't have anything in my gallery at the moment but it won't stay empty forever!I just want to wait until I get some more really amazing cels before I put anything in my gallery.

Two of my friends have galleries here on rubberslug that haven't been updated in 4+ years. Neither one of them are interested in collecting cels anymore. However, neither one of them is interested in selling their cels either. They both want to continue to display the goodies they have but won't be making any updates to their galleries. If you tried to contact either one of them, you most likely won't get a response since they both have RS going straight to spam. They were tired of the "are you selling" emails. As long as there are cels displayed that are not owned by a "new" owner, I say don't bother them. Let everyone continue to display even if they aren't collecting anymore.

Oh I am totally one of these people^^' I totally ignored my rs gallery (and everything to do with cels) for about 4 years. When I finally felt I was in a place where I could buy cels again I was overjoyed to see my little gallery was still there! And getting hits lol ^_^
