Your first cel?

I purchased two cels at one for my first buy:

I'd always thought how neat it would be to actually own a piece of a show that I really loved. I'd heard of Disney cels & had a sort of vaugue idea of idea of the animation process, but never really thought of Anime having cels as well until I realy started surfing the internet & saw a few Sailor Moon cel galleries. I couldn't get over how cool that was, actually owning an absolutely unique piece of an art that was filmed in the animation process. So I discovered & started poking around on Animanga & keeping track of cels on Ebay/Y!J for a couple of years before I finally decided to jump in. Back then, I really balked at some of the prices, but I found myself looking forward to tracking the auctions, seeing what prices they ended at, what types of things were available, & enjoying other peoples' gallery updates.

Finally, I felt like I had gleaned enough info about the market to contact a private seller for these two that were posted on a For Sale page. While they were in transit, I started to worry that I had spent too much money on them at the time (Ha!), but the thought evaporated immediately once I had them in my hands. After that, I haven't looked back and it's been a pretty rewarding hobby. I've been really lucky since nearly everyone I've met has been super nice & helpful - in short, it's been great! Thanks everyone!! :)
