i am so sad......

Boy, I'm glad I don't have disposable income these days since I feel left out on all these Macross cel auction wars.

The previous link to the YJ! auction with this much discussed cels has peaked my interested but it is no longer working, does anyone have it saved on their computer since I know some of us are interested in seeing what this expensive looking set looks like?

Rusted180, if you do go to Anime Expo this year be prepared to notice the few and expensive Macross cels up for sale. I've been to AX for the last four years and most of the cels under $200 have pretty much been picked cleaned leaving only a few enemy ship or bad guy cels from Macross II left in the low-end price range.

The only notable dealer left with some nice looking Macross cels is Anime-Link.com and the majority of the booth stuff is expensive and they do not haggle. I did notice on their website that they have a couple nice Hikaru & Breetai cels for $150. Though they do not often take down sold cels off the site, as I've bought the last two remaining mecha cels from their Mac+ collection and a cel from Mac II a couple years back at AX that is still on the site.

If you're interested in any of them I suggest you email them to let them know to bring them so you can see it in person otherwise sometimes they leave some cels from the collections at home.

I'd add one caveat to BaronV's great ideas, for [b][color=#00ccff]alohaanime do NOT bother to asking them about the Macross cels. Extremely bad communications and HORRID follow through![/b][/color] I tried to patiently communicate with them for over one YEAR and never saw anything from them... but lots of excuses. The other dealers mentioned are reputable and I recommend them. Good luck and keep us posted by creating your gallery rusted180. :)

wow those are incredible! love the valkyrie sketch (almost makes me think it was done on a computer, its so symetrical & perfectly drawn)!
