hmm. thats interesting what YJ does with extending the bids. i can imagine that if two people want something really bad it can go on for a LONG time. lol

im like you are, still trying to find that really good (moderately affordable) to die for piece. i found one that i got (that really wasnt affordable, BUT worth it), but id like more. :-p

I was bidding on it too...well may be no the same 3 as you but i did bid really many for that sketch with the red valk on it....alas even almost 400 euros was not enought. Sad but it's life...

It happens to me countless times, some people are really willing to bid many money on it . Mokman often outbids me ;) but i consider it's just good competition.

I hope everyone doesn't think I am the big bad wolf here, hehe. I get outbid on my fair share of auctions as well. If there is something out there that you really want, contact me (though not through Rubberslug feedback because I don't seem to be getting any of those) and let me know and I will do my best not to battle against you for it. I can't make any promises, because I am a Macross fan as well and will want certain items too, but I am also a reasonable person. I have agreed with other collectors before not to bid on their wanted auction if they won't bid on mine, for example.

Also have heart rusted180, sketches of the same subject and quality as the ones in question here have been in 2 of the last 3 Big Web Auctions (I expect perhaps you are already aware of that). So they are out there. It is unfortunate though that typically with the BWA you are going to spend more for them than on YJ for example ($1k-2k each sketch, not lot of sketches). And for the record I was outbid one every single one of those BWA auctions I tried for so it does happen. I don't happen to know if there are any in the upcoming BWA that goes live next week I believe.

That drawing was actually not so impressive, just i liked it. It was seen in a famous Macroos book about the tv show.

I don't use rinkya but another one who created an account just for me so i can do biding by myself. After winning i pay them directly and they take care of other things.

As i said already, you need to wait for a good opportunity and be very patient...
