1st AnimeCel, Shampoo, help identify...

Got a bit distracted there for a bit. *ahem* Anyway, your cel's from season 5, episode 7 (episode 95 if you count from the beginning of the series): "Hot Springs Battle Royale!"

The screencap:

*SPOILER*
for the episode is written below. You have been warned.

Anyway, Akane, Moose, and Ryoga all win tickets to compete in a hot springs competition (the prize is an all-expensive paid trip for two to the hot springs resort of your choice). Moose takes his to Shampoo, hoping to compete with her, but she just steals it from him and goes to find Ranma. Akane finally gets up the courage to give hers to Ranma, and goes to the dojo to do so. Before she can finish speaking, however, Shampoo breaks through the door with her bike, runs over Ranma, and pulls out her ticket. This is where your cel is from.

Cool, never expected to find out this much detail. Thanks so much.

Also, after reading the episode description that last bit sounded very familiar, the part where she bursts through the door, turns out I came across a cel of that exact shot last night when trying to find out anything on my cel. I can't believe I didn't connect it until know. The style and clothing looked the same but I guess what threw me was the different background.

Here's that cel from someone's gallery:

Thanks
again, this is really going to help the caption text when I add this cel to my gallery.

Also, the same seller had a couple more cels and one intersted me as it's a funny shot that's posed perfectly.

Should I pass it up or snatch it up for the price of $80?

This
one is probably easy to pinpoint in the series as how often do they go iceskating?

When it comes to Ranma (and Bleach - she's screencapped darned near all my Bleach stuff for me!) Klet's gooooood! ~_^
*pats klet on the head*
Good girl!
Here's a dancing bunny for you, now go work on some more fan art!

Oooooo! I've been wishing I had enough to grab up that skating one, but I'm holding out for the possible battle at the end of the Ranma in black auction. <.<

The skating ones come up every now and then, but that's a really decent shot since it has Ranma and Akane both in it. ^_^
Like I said, I'd love to have it myself, but I'm aiming elsewhere right now.

I checked rubberslug for a skating cel and found about three, one of them pretty close to the one at auction right now:

I
know how you feel, about holding out for something else even though you'd like to have both. I also find the timing of these things strange. I've checked every cel added to ebay everyday for months and months and haven't bought anything but when something interesting does come up some how it has to come in a wave, making it really hard to decide. It's always a great feeling when you find something you really like after months of searching, but devastating when a whole handful appear at once, the wallet can only take so much :(

I already bought a simpons cel this week, a couple drawings, missed out on that mug Ryoko Cel from AnimeChaos where she winks in a bikini, my last bid was $400 something and it ended just above it at $455, couldn't bid anymore while at work. Now there's a publicity for Secret of NIMH that I've never seen before, and suddently a really cool CoolWorld cel setup.

I'm not sure yet if I'm going to grab up the skating one myself too. In the past I've mostly held out for perfect cels that I'd plan to frame and hang. But since I'm just about out of walls, I should start looking into cel books so then buying extra cels I'd normal would pass up won't be a burden to find a safe place for them.

On cel books, are they good? Do they really keep the cels safe for archive and occasional viewing? I'm guessing you'd store them standing up so the weight doesn't put pressure on bottom cels.

Any suggestions for the best cel-book to buy for archival quality?
