I checked rubberslug for a skating cel and found about three, one of them pretty close to the one at auction right now:

I know how you feel, about holding out for something else even though you'd like to have both. I also find the timing of these things strange. I've checked every cel added to ebay everyday for months and months and haven't bought anything but when something interesting does come up some how it has to come in a wave, making it really hard to decide. It's always a great feeling when you find something you really like after months of searching, but devastating when a whole handful appear at once, the wallet can only take so much :(
I already bought a simpons cel this week, a couple drawings, missed out on that mug Ryoko Cel from AnimeChaos where she winks in a bikini, my last bid was $400 something and it ended just above it at $455, couldn't bid anymore while at work. Now there's a publicity for Secret of NIMH that I've never seen before, and suddently a really cool CoolWorld cel setup.
I'm not sure yet if I'm going to grab up the skating one myself too. In the past I've mostly held out for perfect cels that I'd plan to frame and hang. But since I'm just about out of walls, I should start looking into cel books so then buying extra cels I'd normal would pass up won't be a burden to find a safe place for them.
On cel books, are they good? Do they really keep the cels safe for archive and occasional viewing? I'm guessing you'd store them standing up so the weight doesn't put pressure on bottom cels.
Any suggestions for the best cel-book to buy for archival quality?
