update limits
So is the change in the process of being made? I'm just curious because I made a site update and didn't see it show up.
Sometimes updates just don't show up. Usually, it's because of your browser. I know on mine, I have to let it sit a while before hitting refresh, and then sometimes the page will reload. It's kind of common.

If the limits were already in place, I would assume that you would see an update button somewhere in "My Account." There isn't one in mine, so I assume there isn't in yours.

Er, hope that answers the question.

hey jason i can one up you. i have 1400 japanese idol pictures on my little computer. in fact there is a couple in my photo album in my gallery right now that are alot cuter. takuya kimura is a ok actor. although the singing group he belongs to SMAP is pretty good and has been around since the 80's. in fact i think all the members of SMAP have acted in j-drama at one time or another. in fact his wife shizuka kudo, an idol singer, got me into listening to j-music and j-idols. now as for the thread, 2 updates is cool with me. alas i have nothing to update anyway. lost 5 yj auctions in a roll and still counting. :(

WOW! Don't hop on rubberslug's forum for a while and look at the drama you miss.
I?m fine with 2 updates a week, but I agree with Tex-chan. I don?t understand the need to limit the number of times a person updates.
My thoughts exactly. I'm not trying to stir anything up but I wanted to throw in my 2yen.

I didn't realize there was a problem. I understand Jason wanting to protect his site and I really appreciate that. I'm one of those people who will update 5 or 6 times in a week when I have large updates. It's not because I want the front page. It's that I literally get tired of being in front of my computer so much. I have to take breaks away from the computer. Don't get me wrong! I love my computer but I'm not one who can just sit still that long.

I'm also someone who updates mostly for me. Ocassionally, I'll update something with someone in mind because they want to see what I got and live in a different city than me. Then I consider the update ours. But honestly, I would love rubberslug even if no one ever visited my gallery but me. It's very selfish I know but I feel the gallery is for me to view my cels anytime I want. I can't carry my cels and sketches everywhere all the time so I look at them when I need to escape the pressure of work or get away from family for a few.

I don't have anything hidden in my gallery but I know some people who do for good reasons. They view their gallery like I do. It's a place for escape. And they received some items under private sales where they were asked not to publically display these items. Using the hidden function works for that.

I've never liked coming soon type sections and normally never visit them in galleries. So when I see those updates on the front page, I ignore them.

It's up to you Jason what you choose to do. If you do choose to install the button, that's fine. I may never use it because I just don't feel the need to have to be on the front page.

There's some issues with getting this done, I found out just now when I tried to do it. It might be more difficult than I thought since a lot of stuff was never intended to work with a manual publishing system.

I'll take another crack at it in a few hours when I wake up.
