I conveniently forgot to mention the sheep. An old in-joke with friends. I now have so many sheep figures I had to buy a life-sized stuffed Border Collie. That's what friends are for... give them an inch and they send you sheep.

I've always collected things, small 19th century jewlery, Depression Glass, beaten aluminum service ware and ivory collectables. I still have my Dark Shadows novels (stop laughing E ;)) and my orignal Star Wars metro poster. But I would give them all up for my anime collections. I collect DVDs, shitajikis, manga, gashapon figures, scripts, settei, storyboards, cels, cels, cels, and more cels.

=) Sorry for straying off topic, but to answer birdie,

Dark Shadows:

"Barnabas Collins: I didn't say she was dead, I said I killed her.."

Trivia.. it took over 400 episodes of this show before he (Barnabas) was actually ever referred to as a vampire! Amazing..

On topic:

I was never a big collector of anything really. That was my big brother, he had a huge comic book collection, that unfortunately got thrown away by my mother years ago as paper garbarge, before a change of residences. Me being his little brother, was amazed by his comics, and they left a memorable impression on me.

But, I cannot imagine collecting anything else besides cels right now, except maybe music or DVD's. I did collect games a while back.

But, I love to read stories of all of you other wonderous collectors.

It makes me feel good that there will be someone to take care of my "junk", once it goes from precious shiny metals category in my mind to dull faded lead.

=)
