I hope that the subliminal (FREE) advertising did not get to you. It is the closest thing here to a pop-up ad becase it's FREE!!!!!! But somethings need support..and free is free, but not forever. especially after (FREE) 3 months or more...lets get real.

You won't be singled out if you didn't, but you could right now make one and post, hey now that would be real supportive (*BIG ol'SMILE*) And it's up to you the amount..nothing set,,just doing something that makes you feel good and honest about being here.

(Heh, I'll even try to talk "jn" to give you a star or something after your name for being a kind supporter of you want ^-^)

And don't ask me please, "if it's free, why do I need to donate anything?", Well free as in making money it is not doing that, bud,..Bandwidth is not free, computer upgrades are not free, software is not free, and working and improving this site should not be considered free. later.

Yes, RS is user supported (sorta like PBS), but the big sticking point for me about the donations thing is "no pledge drives". For starters, I don't even have mugs or shirts to give away to people who donate big money. (Maybe we should?)

Money is always appreciated, but it's not worth hanging on every last person's arm for. The good news is that a number of people who have been here a while have been kind enough to donate at least 5 or 10 bucks. That's all we really ask.

Our pitch: For the moment, we've got no ads, no popups, no annoyances (commercial annoyances, that is). Also, we have a nifty little catalog system that doesn't require you to individually write and update HTML pages. There probably aren't too many freebies left that offer that combination of features.

If all that sounds like a great idea to you, then put some bread in the jar. If not, then you're still our friend anyway. If you can't leave any cash, then leave a suggestion. Those are almost as valuable. You can always airmail cookies too. I like cookies.

I've been pondering donating eventually, when I know I definitely have money to spare. Does that count? ^_~ I'm very grateful that RS is a good service, and free nonetheless. Of course, I am sure there are ways to support it other than donations, however.

I think the irony in this situation is that you're asking a bunch of people that spend oodles of money on cels each day/week/month/year to give just a little to the site that lets em show em off. ^^;

I feel guilty that I haven't sent anything yet either O.o I will remind myself too when I have an actual paypal balance (cuz I don't like using charge cards and taking from my bank account). :P

And about those T-shirts. I would *definatly* buy a tshirt! ^__________^ Mugs are cool.. but i love t-shirts. (you could try cafepress.com for ideas...?)
