Well, cowboys let's line em up
It would be nice if there was a way to send on-line donations other than paypal...
Some of us don't have paypal. I'd sign up for paypal, but my account from 3 summers ago seems to still be active... but my password is lost and my e-mail, and credit card info have changed.... so I can't resign up, and my account is totally messed up. Actually, old paypal problems is one of the reason I gave up on the service and changed credit card info in the first place.
Don't worry though, I'm not going to be a mooch forever. Either I'll eventually donate, or switch back to my original server once its ftp issues are finally resolved.

I'm hearing a lot of anti-Paypal sentiment. I'm not too clear on what's popular for payment schemes. I would run donations through this site, but a secure site license would run us $400 (more than the running grand total for donations since we started, unfortunately). Does anyone have suggestions for other sites that they'd prefer to do their donations through?
What we need is CookiePal.com. Pay your debts with soft, chewy goodness. Instead of verifying your credit cards when you sign up, they'll verify the texture and sweetness of a batch of your cookies. That would be the best internet start-up company ever.

... searches .... damn, CookiePal.com is taken. =(
... BUT WAIT! WeaselPal.com is AVAILABLE!
Alright, I know there are lots of people out there who don't like paypal. And I understand that. But please don't actually *get rid* of the paypal option to dontate. I love paypal, and have been using it for well over a year now. It's very convenient, and LOTS of people/businesses accept it. If you want to give the "non-paypal" people another option, please do. But don't eliminate the paypal! ^____^ danke danke
And the cookie idea is great! There has been a lot of talk about payment with cookies lately, hopefully one day it will become a reality *_*
*goes to pay her car note with 5 dozen sugar cookies.*
What is with you and walruses/monkeys/weasels anyway? You used to work in a zoo? O.o hehehe
I went to private school way too long...we were always out there selling raffle tickets, holding festivals and events to raise money for projects for our high school. It was a lot of fun.I guess it is just in my blood to help out in circles that I participate in. I don`t want to come off sounding like some kind of "Jerry`s kids" telethon or something, kind of sing along. So, if I in anyway offended you or made someone feel guilty about having a gallery on RS for free and not donating by posting my "over-zealous" post, then I apologize. For that was not my intention. Heck, I only donated around $20 bucks myself (if my memory serves me correct), so I am not in any position to brag about, or criticize anyone about anything. I need to dig back into my own pocket! or cookie-jar ^-^.
On the other hand, I think that no pop-ups and no monthly fees, an admin, that ask for our advice in building the site, etc. are a good things, that I want to see last for some time. How about you?

That sounds like a way more fun job that software developer.
Weasel and monkeys are inherently funny animals. Same goes for the duck-billed platypus. Those are funny animals too.
Where did noisywalrus come from? I think it might be from that Beatles song partially, but the first time I remember using it was for a Warcraft game way back in high school where we made up different names every time we played.
Walruses are also funny animals. Weasels are still funnier that walruses. Weasels are portable, so I thought maybe you could make a good payment system out of them. (hence, WeaselPal) Unfortunately, unlike cookies and cash, more weasels does not directly correlate with more fun. Furthermore, it would be highly debatable which would be worth more - live weasels or dead weasels.
Writing these messages is so much easier than answering real questions. Can you tell?

ps - Although I appreciate all donations, please do not send weasels, live or dead. Thanks.
