Your first cel-

Well, I knew a DBZ collector, and decided to surf some cel sites. I was at Animazing and found a great cel of Witz Sou from Gundam X for only $7. I couldn't say no to that. It is a top-notch cel and will stay with me forever.

And the most breathtaking ever - an Oversized pan cel of Hotohori from Fushigi Yuugi. I love this cel. Love love love love love.

Interesting that I somehow missed this thread. I guess taking a break from Beta lets you catch up on things happening elsewhere.

Actually, when I bought it, I knew just about nothing about CCS. All I'd seen was a card sleeve that another eBayer had sent me as a freebie with some "Adventures of the Mini-Goddesses" collectors cards in it. But I thought the girl and the little flying teddy bear were cute, and when I saw this cel up on eBay, I figured I had to have it.

Yep, I overpaid for it. But the same week I got it, I went to an arts festival, where there were dozens of booths selling fancy-dancy lithographs, etchings, photos, CGI art, etc. It was 99.9% UGLY! And all REPRODUCTIONS! And priced 500-1000% HIGHER than what I'd paid for my cel!

And so I looked at it ... my little overpriced one-of-a-kind cute Sakura/Kero cel with its gem-like colors ... and I figured I'd gotten a good deal after all.

And then I started looking for places where I could get more and better deals ...

... and so I joined the ranks of the Lost ...

Well I started on the hobbie without having a clue regarding cels. In 2001 I travelled to LA and with a friend attended the AX... when I saw those things with images of the anime characters I asked what they were and when I found out I was like 'O_O wow I can actually buy those?' That's when I started... and this was the first cel I ever bought

Im a huge fan of Zechs Merquise and even I couldn't find of him without a mask (as the nice and always lovely gallery of Flippy), I just knew I had to have him :D

My first cel was my one with Conan, Rachel, and whats her name? I actually found it back in december 2005. I bought it with my christmas money. And from then on i have been buying and buying. But that is still my favorite, mostly because it has my 2 favorite Characters in it. And now i made a BG for it, it looks great.
