fatal attraction?

An anime question. Yay.

On a side note, is anyone getting really creeped out by their anime lately? For the record, I thought Koi Kaze was genius in its ability to be at least mildly offensive to most reasonable people.

For me there's a difference between whether they make the story fuzzy as to if the couple is blood related or not and when the couple definitely is blood related.

But what you're saying is true. It's becoming more common to have step-sibling relationships in anime the past two years. For sure they had some step-sibling relationships a long time ago with anime like Miyuki, but there's more of a trend now to include step-sibling stuff in anime. I'm not sure why. A trend perhaps? Someone said that maybe writers are doing it because they want to write about different types of relationships? ? ^_^ ?

My friend has a gag reflex to anything even implying a step-sister relationship. He doesn't even like it if an unrelated, non-step-sister girl calls a guy oniichan a lot. :P

I went the Marmalade boy rout because both sets of parents (after the wife swap) were all about the kids getting together....... But then again I have not seen this Koi Kaze you speak of....... Offensive to all hmmm? Sounds like a winner to me ^_~

Um... I'm only familiar with Marmalade Boy, and I enjoyed it (sometimes I wanted to smack Mikki senseless... oh wait, she already was...). And, I've already mentioned somewhere here that I wanted the end of I,My,Me to be one where he gets the girl and they run away together... ><

But, yeah, I was looking for a 'none of the above'... but then y'all knew I was warped, right? ~_^

I've only seen Marmalade Boy (and even then I only reached the late 20s episodes, so I don't know all the goings on), so I can't comment on the others.

The Miki and Yuu relationship is cute, although I have to admit in real life it wouldn't really fly (and it's kinda Jerry Springer material ;D You could call it 'Our Parents Switched Spouses And Now We're In Love'). But I enjoy this anime and although the relationship might be kinda 'wrong' it's one of my favorite shoujo.
