fatal attraction?

Actual blood-related siblings (who have grown up together) having sexual relationships definitely squicks me. There are some cases that can be effectively argued (like Setsuna/Sara in Angel Sanctuary), but most have no redemption in my mind. But even if I think it's terribly unnatural, if the plot of the anime is good enough, I'll watch it anyways.

And since I've never seen ANY of the series in this poll, I'll keep an open mind should I ever encounter them. I'm not really one to pass judgement without having something to base it upon.

Wait a second. Just how many shows are out there like this? I don't watch much from this.. uh... catagory. Lemme know some names and I can add them to the poll.

HHHMMM Firetripper and Maze are the ones that pop into my head. Although in Fire Tripper there was ALLOT of confusion on the subject and no blood relationship was ever established.

I haven't seen the above mentioned shows either, and I'm not really clear on something...are the main stories simply about incestuous love/lust or is that a side story?

This is a hard subject to discuss since it inherently has spoilers. But offhand the anime I can think of that haven't been mentioned yet (trying to keep spoilers to a minimum):

1. Utena TV and Movie (two characters basically with another that's debatable to some people).

2. Hanihani - step-sibling was hoping for a romantic relationship.

3. Da Capo - step-siblings

4. Love Hina - one-sided by Kanako

5. Ayashi no Ceres - one-sided thing by one character

6. Boku wa imouto ni Koi wo Suru OVA - With twins. I think this just came out in May 2005. Let's see how nuts people go when the fansub comes out. :P

7. ??Kimagure Orange Road OVA - one-sided by a cousin if I'm remembering correctly.

It's becoming run-of-the-mill the last two years for Japanese games to have step-sisters or cousins as romantic relationship possible stories (such as Canvas and Wind ~ aBoH - both were turned into anime). But those relationships weren't in shown the anime. They decided to focus on the other characters instead. All well and fine in my book.

But I was surprised they decided to do a step-sibling relationship in the Da Capo anime. On the other hand, she WAS the main character of the game so I guess they had little choice in who to focus on. ^_^

Of course the number of step-sibling/cousin relationships in "hentai" anime are legion (especially from the last few years).
