We're throwing a party. You're invited!

This year, we're crashing Anime Expo in style. As it turns out, there's no cel collectors panel scheduled for 2005. Now we have the perfect excuse to get away from the con awhile for some drinks, food, and light conversation.

We're going to cram a ton of con-goers into J.T. Schmid's Restaurant and Brewery on the evening of Saturday, July 2, 2005. We're scheduled to arrive at 8 PM. This fine establishment has both tasty food and a wide selection of microbrews to push the evening along.

It's a mere two miles from the con, but we'll be arranging transportation in the Marriott lobby starting at 7:00 PM. Look for people wearing their Rubberslug shirts as there's sure to be at least a few of us milling about. At 7:30, we're out the door. If you miss us, feel free to call a cab and meet us there.

Here's what you have to do:

1. Add your name to the Slugfest Reservation Thread. This is very important! We need very accurate head counts at least 3 days before the con! Register for an account here if you don't already have one. It's a pretty useful website; you'll like it. Trust us.
2. Arrive at 7:00 PM sharp on Saturday, July 2, in the lobby of the Mariott. Look for people wearing our shirts. We leave at 7:30, but we need time to organize the cars.
3. We will help assign cars in the lobby. If there are not enough cars, we will charter a few taxis or hotel vehicles to help take us to and from the brewery.
4. If you arrive at 7:31 PM, we will probably be out the door. If you are late, you'll have to secure transportation on your own.

Other fine points

1. Everyone is welcome! Brings your friends who collect, bring your friends who don't collect, and bring your friends who didn't even go to Anime Expo who happen to be in town. Don't forget to tell us how many you're bringing when you reserve your spot.
2. Although our intent is to conquer as much of the bar as possible, we still want respect from the waitstaff. Please wear street clothes to the brewery.
3. Expect to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of $15-30 for meal and drinks, depending on what you order and what you drink.
