Spring Peeps

Interesting. It's either you love them or hate them.

Anyone in between?

I love peeps, but for some reason only around Easter, and only the yellow chicks (can't be blue, pink, or even red has to be yellow). Don't ask me why....I think it's just a psychological thing...

I can only eat maybe one or two during Easter time, yellow chicks only & that's it. My firend will eat them anytime she can. We get them for her for every holliday they make them for.

The best way to eat them is to put them in the microwave for 10 to 15 minutes. Watch them grow bigger as the seconds go by. The get all gooey when you take them out, so tastey.

Have you seen ... They now have made a stuff animal version of them. They have both chicks & bunnies in the 4 colors. I got a yellow chick for my friend & a blue blue bunny, for me, which sits on my monitor at work. They even come in packs (4 chicks or bunny) wrapped just like the real thing. CVS & K-Mart carries them, they run around $3-$6.

Me thinks that'll lead to nothing more than a gooey mess inside one's microwave...
I have to wonder, though, if they'd explode or simply melt into a puddle of sugary goo.
I think my other half would kill me if I tried to find out :P
Still... I'm tempted.
Now 10 to 15 seconds sounds like it might make for a yummy peep delicacy. :) Warm marshmallow fluff... Mmmmm.
