Unknown and Mystery Cels

Hi Foechadan, I think you're right that it looks like an A-KO character, have you reserached other anime by that character designer/director Yuji Moriyama? It could be a cel from one of his older productions since it doens't look like one of his newer Saiyuki types.

While I agree that it's more than likely from the '80s era of animation, I can't agree with your pic of designers (Yuji Moriyama), BBlade. The lack of line defenition around the bottom of the eyes, the wide, round shape of the eyes, and the reflection shapes in the eyes, and the "puffy" rather than straight and pointy look of the hair, as well as the unique nose all point to a different artist.

... still researching.

While the cel itself is in great condition it really does have the "feel" of an older cel, so I would defiantly narrow the search to an 80's or early 90's animation.

Check it out and LMK!

Hi Zag, that style of anime art isn't my speciality so forgive me if my suggestion was way off. (Don't worry I haven't taken any offence or anything!) The character did remind me of Project A-KO which was the tenuous link. I'd be interested to find out what this cel could be from!
There's no shortage of girls with pink hair in anime so the search could go on for a long time...
