the pie question

I can't help but think that all of you eat way more pie than me. And what's with the insisting on pies that \\aren't on the poll?\\

Like chocolate pie. I never knew there was a such thing as a chocolate pie. Is there a such thing as a "light" and "dark" chocolate pie? Does it feature a peanut butter center?

Didn't think so many cel collectors were also "pie snobs". (I mean that only in the best way, of course.) I thought we were just picky about our cartoons. =)

Key Lime is winning? This thing is rigged!!

And for those who know where soda's sock went, I hear the reward is quite nice!

You know, maybe chocolate pie is a regional thing too like the Key Lime. Could be a Southern thing? Around where I live in Virginia you can get chocolate pie just about anywhere. They even serve it in the elementary school where I work. You may also have noticed that in my first post I spelled chocolate with an "a" which is how my grandmother insisted on spelling it since that is how it was written in all of those 1000 year old recipe books that she used to use. I'll let the chocolate thing go....for now.

I'm not a huge pie fan, but I'm sure I've seen a pie that looks like this before:

But
a quick glance at the ingredients implies that I would get seriously ill after about two bites. There's a chocolate layer, a caramel layer, and a marshmellow layer? Blech. I need some water just thinking about it.

If I see chocolate pie on a desert menu any place I go out to eat, I'll try to order it anyways. Just to try. That reminds me, I have an oatmeal cookie in the kitchen waiting for me to try. Mmm.
