How best to split a series?
Thanks for all the advice so far! ;)
The reason I brought this up was that I was getting a few comments again about too-large gallery sections, and I already have it broken down by individual character. As it is, right now that works well, except for my Akari and Groups sections, and the groups one is easy to split up. Right now there are 73 cels in my Akari section, which isn't too bad. However, by the time I am done scanning all the cels I have...there will be almost 200 cels in the Akari section, and many of the other sections will be approaching 50 or more, so I need to figure out a better way of orginizing them.
Unfortunately the bg/no bg split won't work in my case...I have a very strong preference for original backgrounds, and at least 80% of my BA cels have the bg. I am liking the idea of putting the best cels up front...the only issue with this is what *I* think the best cels are and what *other* people think are the best cels are often two completely different lists ;)
Lots to think about now, and hopefully this thread will maybe help other people with the same problem.

And turn ON the numbers Gabby! ::smiley::
Ok, I think it is time to revive this thread. I need to break up my Marlene and my Yuji sections of my "Blue Gender" collection sometime in the near future. I would like to get feedback on the length of the name of gallery sections. Would it be better to have a more descriptive name or just number the sections?
Personally, I think that it is more meaningful to have a name associated with the section versus just a number. But, if I go ahead with my planned split, I will have a very long gallery section name. For example:
Blue Gender: Marlene - Sleeper Recovery Squad
This will of course wrap around and make a two line name for the section. Do you guys think this naming scheme will be cumbersome? Or is it better to go with the Marlene1, Marlene2,... numbering scheme?
My 2c:
Go with the descriptive title, short or long.
I think it's nicer when I'm cruising, knowing what's gonna pop up when I "step into" a specific "wing" of a gallery.
It also makes it easier for anyone looking for something specific.
