Van Helsing movie

Greetings,

I'm wondereing if anyone else is looking foward to the Van Helsing movie?

While
I'm not a fan of Hugh Jackman I think he has the look to pull him off and Kate Beckensil is always fun to watch.

So, who's with me?

Yes, I want to see him dispatch non-sun-resistant
vampires and measle-free werewolves.

Sounds like a good non-pirate ride.

Kate Beckinsale would make a GREAT PIRATE or ROBOT. She would make a horrible NINJA. I will chase your ninjas to every corner of this message board and defend the honor of the nuclear robot hit squad.

I'm more of a throwback movie person. I'm starting to gravitate more towards movies where there are no explosions. I like sissy talky movies now. If anything, though, at least this latest effects-laden feature will for once not be a sci-fi thing. I strongly advocate the use of super cool looking effects for things that don't look "special-effecty" (for example, Saving Private Ryan).

Given the acting range of most actresses these days Robot isn't much of a stretch. Set Uma up on your Robots, they'll be following her around like love sick puppies in minutes.

Ninjas everytime

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie and can forgive them for the really cheesy looking werewolf (when has anyone actually made a movie with a werewolf where it looked decent?) if Van Helsing's arsenal is as cool as I've seen it in the previews -- does that man have a gattling gun??? Ummm...and is it me or is that Vampire Hunter D's hat he's got on?
