Looking for CC Sakura Movie 2 Cel

Hi everyone!

It's really nice to meet all of you, your galleries are amazing! I am brand new here and just started collecting Anime cels this year believe it or not.

I do not have a gallery yet as I only have a small handful of cels but one day I hope I can start one up.

I am a HUGE Cardcaptor Sakura fan and unfortunately one of my ultimate wish list cels has slipped through my figures twice on YJ Auctions (outbid by 1000 yen!!) so I was wondering if anyone here happens to have any cels from this particular scene which they would be willing to please sell to me.

I am more than ready to pay a pretty penny :D

I am looking for cels of the famous Waltz scene from CCS Movie 2: The Sealed Card.

In particular, the scene where Syaoran and Sakura are dancing together.

Good luck! I do know that cels from this scene are very desirable and so you can expect a fight when one comes up. However, there are a lot of cels in each cut, so you can keep watching with confidence. I got mine (not for sale, unfortunately) on eBay after a lot of lurking and waiting. It was not cheap but not outrageous in price either.

And good luck. While it's not the buyers' market it was in 2000-2008, it's still a good time to start, with some of the original impulse buyers now dismantling their collections and selling off nice items.

You gallery was actually one of the first ones I visited when I came here lol and I must say, you have an amazing collection. I hope one day I can be a proud owner of one too.

2000-2008? Aww, I really missed out on prime time there didn't I haha but thank you for your words of encouragement, I'm hoping that someone somewhere decides to one day sell one of them off.

I am a patient person so I hope that pays off one day.

May I ask where you were able to collect your cels from?

I look on Yahoo Japan and ebay often but are there any other good places you would recommend?

You are welcome. I'd say that my cels did not come from any one place in particular: I did what other collectors did and watched on dealers' pages (more common in the 2000-08 period alas) and on eBay and on Yahoo Japan. And paid attention to collectors who were leaving the hobby and indicating that they were ready to take offers on their treasures.

I think it is just a matter of vigilance and being ready to take advantage of opportunities when they appear. I've been unlucky many, many times, like you, but always kept watch for my wishlists, and if you do this, the celga-no-kami will be with you one bright day.

You might want to register on Anime-Beta, which is a good place to watch for private sales and in general learn from more experienced collectors. You need an invite but that's a formality to keep spammers out: send me an email via RS gallery feedback and I'll see that you get one.

So I guess I am looking in all the right places. I've made it a habit to look on YJ daily to see what pops up so patience is a huge virtue here haha and one day it will all pay off.

Wow, that is quite the place. Do you think I can make requests there for people to look out for me?

An invite? What for? Do I need that in order to register on the forms?

Another question. How offended do people on here get if you send them a message with an offer on cels in their cel galleries?

The reason I ask is because I've been reading posts from members with updated galleries where they were able to purchase cels from other members galleries by making offers.

There seem to be quite a number of people here with galleries that haven't been updated with cels or news in years (like pre-2010), yet their galleries have all kinds of gems with a vast majority of cels stating NFS or nothing.

I'm scared of angering these people if I contact them asking to make an offer on a super desirable NFS cel.

What do you think?
