well, i didn't win any of them :(

i noticed that more are up now, maybe if i keep at it i might luck out and get one that is affordable.

Yeah, I see. The prices the last two got have encouraged the person who sells through twin_angels (a consignment seller) to let a bunch more go up this time. It's odd that the finish time is 1 PM Japan time or midnight US time. Most auctions finish up in the evening Japanside and morning US time.

Sometimes you can get lucky, especially if some of the other collectors lock horns over a couple of sets and aren't watching one of the others. Or maybe a well-heeled bidder sets the alarm for the wrong time, as we all do. (The odd finish time could be an advantage to a US bidder.)

But patience is a virtue: I remember when anything from Ah! My Goddess went for several hundred dollars, and after a few years of this madness things came down to reasonable prices.

Inuyasha is another series that still commands pretty high prices (for cels anyhow) because the source is careful not to let too many out at one time. Even so, I've seen prices go from extravagant to affordable over a couple of years.

Anyhow, watch them (and future sets) and see what happens. Good luck!
