jason, i am a bit concerned about the choice of cels chosen to entice users to come visit my gallery under this new galleries by interest.
i noticed you used 3 of my MOST image hacked/thefted images as one my Top 3 samples under the new RS when you go to gallery by Category. (Maybe b/c they were the top 3 on the "quick and dirty" list in our member profiles.) Those 3 chosen really didn't highlight my gallery's collection as a whole. Can you go through and pick 3 that you like best that will attract users to stop by and visit instead for every gallery? Or can we pick them ourselves to make it a bit easier? (I'm afraid by continuing to use those 3 particular images to entice visitors will incur more attempts to image theivery-- no offense.)

Unlikely. The benefit isn't obvious given limited development time.

The shop is going to undergo a sizeable overhaul. Not sure exactly what this will entail yet. The version that you see on the beta site is a copy-paste job. It probably won't resemble that much. (although it might for first pass, see above)

Feedback will probably quite detailed. If you are familiar with LinkedIn, this is the type of system that I think would work best. Basically, you're encouraged to get people to write letters of recommendation for you. eBay, etc. don't go beyond a thumbs up/down for a transaction, and that's bad.

Still thinking about that. We don't have the resources to chase people down. Public reputation will be the most effective. Even on eBay, etc. it's still a very much he-said she-said type thing. The market will ideally allow people to link all behavior to a single identity. This is why I'm hesitant to allow "sold" transactions to be removed. Only viewable with permission maybe? The community needs to see the history of where this stuff goes. These aren't mass-produced Pez dispensers, they're unique pieces of art. Cels shouldn't just go into a black hole and vanish. Cel collecting has and will continue to be broken if this isn't fixed. (Yup, I said it.)

The plan is for a large avatar and small avatar, both drawn from the same profile picture. There will be some auto-resizing done. Haven't nailed down an exact size yet. It'll most likely be a square between 50-70px.
