Hot-Linkers
...Any advice?
I've got a few items that have absurd hit counts and I really think I've got a hot-linker or two. Then again, I have been neglecting my site for a while due to other pursuits.
How do I deter it? =)
You could frequently re-add the cel and delete the old version. What are the absurd hit counts?
See my gallery's blog for my own thoughts on this...
I'd just delete the entire section if it became too much of an issue or even make it password protected. Otherwise you can always recreate it which doesn't take too much time depending on how many items you have in the specific section.
Is there a particular reason why you are concerned with the hotlinking? :)
Search "Google Images" by anime series title and by character names to see if your images show up.
I was getting hits from my Rubberslug artwork pictures showing up on "Google Images" first page.
Thanks. :)
Well, it's been on my mind for quite awhile. I've got at least 2 or 3 items that have absurd hit counts. One of those mentioned has a 1,770 hit count, for example. My gallery's regular hit average range between 24-400 hits per item for the rest of the artwork on display.
It's a bit weird to me that 1 sketch would draw that much attention. That's all. :)
