Immortality is mine!!!

Hey good going Mokman, that's great for a Macross fan to appear on the new SC DVD. I'm thinkking of buying it today, but I've been iffy on getting it before since the reviews hasn't been so hot for it. What did you think of the movie?

It wasn't too bad baron. I am an original hard-core Robotech fan and Shadow Chronicles didn't offend that life long love of mine so that was good. It kind of had a Star Trek feel to it because it takes place entirely in space. I am not sure how I feel about the cg animation but I am old school like that. The animation wasn't horrible I guess. I am not too sure of the character designs either. They are all too super hero perfect. The guys are all cut and the girls are all perfect figures with large chests. The original Robotech characters where drawn more like real people I think.

I like how they interfaced the new story with the end of the existing story. That was well done. I was disappointed though that what I was expecting to happen, story-wise, didn't happen. They left it so completely wide open for more movies/series that I really hope they make something else that resolves everything that Shadow Chronicles starts. There is great potential but only if they choose/are able to continue the plot lines. In short, it is a great start to a whole new chapter of Robotech but much more needs to be done.
